Milestone Celebrations Made Memorable at Garage B

In 2026, Garage B celebrates its fifth anniversary as a unique and fun Boston venue. What was once a neglected building on a historic site has been successfully transformed into a one-of-a-kind, modern-industrial location for lovely weddings, entertaining parties, sophisticated corporate functions, and energetic community activities. As we look back on the hundreds of memorable events that have been hosted in our space throughout the past five years, we wanted to spotlight a few clients who have returned to Garage B as the place where they repeatedly gather to commemorate their own important milestones.

In June of 2021, Shady Hill School of Cambridge hosted one of the first events to take place at Garage B, an eighth-grade graduation party for students and parents. They have continued this tradition each year at our venue, hiring food trucks like Bon Me and Naco Taco as well as partnering with preferred bartending service Premier to serve food and beverages. On the outdoor patio, lawn games like Spikeball and cornhole entertain guests of all ages while, indoors, a DJ keeps everyone on their feet and a mobile photo booth captures this precious moment in time for classmates and their families.

Carrie and Ricky are Allston-Brighton residents deeply rooted in our neighborhood who knew that Garage B was the ideal venue to host their November 2022 wedding. They captured their engagement photos at the Charles River Speedway, processed through the courtyard for their ceremony and reception at Garage B, and brought a second line parade down Western Avenue. Since that year, Ricky became the director of the annual Rat City Arts Festival, a celebration of local artists and musicians. The festival has found a new home at our site, hosting an arts, vinyl, and vintage market in Garage B as well as a concert on the stage in the courtyard.

Since 2022, the Boston Society of Landscape Architects (BSLA) has remained an avid host for a wide variety of events at Garage B. Early engagements from the group at our venue activated industry panels and training workshops in a theatre-style setting complemented by informal cocktail parties. In recent years, they have hosted design award ceremonies and holiday gatherings to honor staff achievements, foster team-building, and envision organizational goals. BSLA particularly enjoys partnering with Notch Brewing for each of these events.

Regular Speedway patrons Sherry and Phil were ecstatic to marry at Garage B in July of 2024. Their wedding floor plan consisted of a refined pipe-and-drape partition as the background to their ceremony that enabled an efficient “room flip” to a reception outfitted with rustic farm tables and a sparkling disco ball. One year later, Sherry and Phil shared with our team the exciting news that their family was growing and wanted to host a baby shower in The Annex. The couple was able to utilize the included mid-century lounge furniture, provide bagels and cake for brunch, and partner with the café services at Rite Tea & Espresso (soon to expand on site under the new name, Linger) while enjoying the delighted, supportive company of 40 guests in this bright and welcoming space.

Garage B and The Annex can host all of life’s milestones: from wedding anniversaries to b’nei mitzvah, from graduation parties to school reunions, and from nonprofit fundraisers to retirement parties. If there is a special date approaching on your calendar, contact our team today to inquire about availability!
