Garage B: An Indoor-Outdoor Event Space in Boston

When planning any event in Greater Boston, choosing a venue often involves a decision between an indoor or outdoor location. One of the many characteristics that makes Garage B so special and versatile is that it is both! Whether you are hosting a summer party or a holiday gathering, our venue can accommodate indoor-outdoor events year-round. In addition to 3,300 SF of interior, through a bank of operable floor-to-ceiling glass doors is a 1,700 SF landscaped patio that can be incorporated into your event in a multitude of ways.

Garage B’s patio can enhance wedding celebrations as follows:

  • Set an outdoor ceremony against the modern-industrial character of the venue as well as the historic buildings and blooming scenery of the Charles River Speedway. This also enables the event space to be set for your indoor reception ahead of time and grants an exciting reveal to your guests as the party begins.
  • Host a cocktail hour on the patio and toast to your love, capture beautiful photography, and mingle with family and friends during a golden sunset. In cases of an indoor ceremony, this also allows the venue to be “flipped” during this time for the reception layout.

  Likewise, here are some popular plans for Garage B’s outdoor patio for family celebrations:

  • Park up to three food trucks directly next to the patio in order to serve fun appetizers, meals, and/or desserts that can please a crowd.
  • Enclose the area as a dedicated space for a bar, lawn games, or other activities that expand the possibilities for your event’s floor plan even in inclement weather.

For corporate events and experiential marketing activations, Garage B’s adjacent patio can be used to:

  • Demonstrate new products or highlight VIP sponsors in an open-air environment that entices attendees to enjoy a progressive, engaging experience throughout the venue.
  • Create a relaxing lounge area with fine furnishings that encourages a sophisticated but laid-back atmosphere for stimulating conversation.

Similarly to Garage B’s interior, the patio can be designed with rentals, florals, balloons, and other installations or decor however you see fit. This outdoor space is also functional for all event types during cooler temperatures with our venue’s collection of stand-up propane heaters. These can be added to any booking for a nominal fee if requested in advance. The heaters will be operated to adhere to safety guidelines by the Venue Manager assigned to your event.
