Garage B offers morning, afternoon, and nighttime availability seven days a week for private or corporate functions. But what if your event requires more than one day to be as successful as possible? For certain affairs like special business meetings, experiential marketing activations, and photo/film shoots, our venue has the capacity to host extended bookings at a discounted rate. Here is how a few multi-day events were facilitated at Garage B.
This May saw the return of New Art Center to Garage B for its annual art auction and gala. For the second year in a row, New Art Center booked three days at our venue to cover the careful setup of art gallery walls and party decor, putting on the event itself, and orderly breakdown of all components. This multi-day plan enabled Garage B to be fully transformed for this celebratory showcase of local artists and art programs.
Corporate clients like our Brighton neighbors at New Balance love to utilize Garage B for company-wide meetings, engaging workshops, training sessions, and unique staff outings. With just a simple banquet setup and a few monitors, you can bring your team beyond the office walls and welcome opportunities for interesting speakers, hands-on activities, and fun entertainment.
Last year, National Grid hosted an annual multi-day summit at Garage B and expanded the daily events to include The Charles River Speedway community with coffee from Rite Tea & Espresso, downtime in the courtyard, and a ticketed “crawl” through the other food and beverage vendors.
A multi-day experiential marketing event at Garage B presents an innovative, immersive occasion to engage current customers and attract new audiences. Electric adventure vehicle manufacturer Rivian sought out Garage B and a full-site takeover at The Speedway for a multi-day activation because the venue, true to its name, could easily accommodate demonstrations and test drives of its large vehicles for a bustling summer weekend crowd.
IcelandAir executed an award-winning production that consisted of an expansive indoor and outdoor setup for three days of landscaped exhibits, virtual reality presentations, live music, food service, and more. The airline’s week-long booking also included a day for press availability and ultimately enticed thousands of guests with elements of Icelandic culture to drive tourism from Boston.
Photoshoots and film productions also benefit from multi-day booking availability at Garage B. Lumafield, headquartered in Cambridge, builds industrial X-Ray CT scanners and needed a large, warehouse-style venue to execute commercial photography of its product. The company rented Garage B for a full week to ensure efficient load-in and load-out of all scanner machinery and production equipment, access to the venue’s natural lighting and impressive power capacity, and relevant photography in a modern-industrial environment.
Multi-day bookings are fitting for social events, too. Host a wedding weekend welcome party for your loved ones at Garage B or at The Annex before the big day, keeping the atmosphere relaxed with a food truck serving from the adjacent patio or slices and beer from Speedway residents Pizza Project and Notch Brewing. An additional advantage to a multi-day wedding booking is that rentals can be brought into the venue a day early and reused for the ceremony and/or reception.
