In New England, it’s never any wonder that autumn is the most popular time of year for weddings. Crisp, cool temperatures are met with warm, layered florals and rich, organic textures to create cozy, joyful atmospheres that reflect the natural beauty of the season. Autumn weddings at Garage B are especially magical, as soft, golden light shines through the floor-to-ceiling glass doors and paints the large venue with an idyllic glow in an attractive urban-chic setting. Eva and Jonson’s fall wedding at Garage B struck this perfect balance between industrial minimalism and stylish glam.

Before Eva and Jonson’s 100 guests were welcomed to Garage B with colorful glasses of agua fresca, the couple captured their delightful first look and other pre-wedding formal photos on our venue’s patio in front of the iconic garage doors.

The ceremony was held indoors, and its design blended seamlessly with the neutral tones of the venue’s interior. Muted, earthy floral arrangements on two tall pedestals flanked an inviting vintage rug upon which the couple exchanged their vows before rows of loved ones seated in wooden Chiavari chairs.

After the nuptials, Eva and Jonson enjoyed quiet moments to themselves as they were photographed throughout The Charles River Speedway, which provided a backdrop complementary to their autumn wedding’s aesthetic.

Meanwhile, Garage B was flipped for the evening’s reception by the couple’s day-of coordinator, catering staff, and eager groomsmen as ceremony chairs were moved to dinner tables. During cocktail hour, the patio was set with high-top tables dressed in both velvety linens and playful patterns and decorated with sweet, simple bud vases of orange florals that accompanied the vibrant foliage lining the space. A chill in the air presented a prime opportunity to utilize our venue’s collection of outdoor heaters. Echoes of gentle music flowed through the indoor and outdoor spaces as champagne and the couple’s signature drinks were enjoyed alongside displayed and passed hors d’oeuvres.

Dinner was served from the Asian-inspired Bon Me food truck, a favorite truck of events hosted at Garage B. This fun catering option was juxtaposed by sparse elegance inside the venue: long banquet tables donned with refined white linens and an array of bud vases, table lamps, battery-operated candles, and crystal glassware.
The mellow romance and contemporary details that Eva and Jonson’s planner brought to Garage B combined for an understated but creative black tie affair that embraced all the design elements we love about fall weddings in Boston.
