Garage B Hosts Meet Boston Open House

Since Garage B opened as an events venue in 2021, our team has been proud of its place not only within the local industry but also the Boston community at large. We sincerely enjoy being a community resource for bringing people together here in the heart of the Allston-Brighton neighborhood. That is why Garage B is an enthusiastic member of Meet Boston, a not-for-profit private sector marketing and visitor services organization for the city that we call home.

Meet Boston’s mission is to showcase and promote Boston’s neighborhoods and people through inclusive programming and the support of community stakeholders. The organization drives the local economy by introducing exciting and diverse experiences to residents and visitors. One way this mission is actualized is through monthly Open House events at different partnering venues throughout the city. The Open House highlights the breadth of Boston’s event spaces as well as connects industry and community leaders who champion the city as a vibrant destination. This June, Garage B was thrilled to work with the team at Meet Boston to facilitate an Open House for over 150 guests!

The sunny and warm evening allowed for Meet Boston members and other attendees to be welcomed to the venue with opened garage doors into our 3,300 SF blank space, outfitted with areas for enjoying light bites, refreshing drinks, and interesting conversation. Central to the room was a large charcuterie table to complement the menu of passed hors d’oeuvres, all provided by Meet Boston partner and preferred vendor of Garage B, Gourmet Caterers. Beers, ciders, and wine were poured by our Charles River Speedway neighbors Notch Brewing, and whiskey drinks were sampled with Meet Boston partner Bully Boy Distillers. Boston Flower Co., another Meet Boston partner, furnished the florals that decorated high-top tables both indoors and outdoors and supported the event with a fun activity during which guests could assemble their own bud vase to take home. Garage B was also pleased to involve the Allston Brighton Community Development Corporation to discuss its critical housing and leadership initiatives within our local community and promote All Bright Night, an annual fundraising gala that takes place at our venue.

Throughout the Open House, attendees were able to connect with Garage B’s sales and marketing team and were presented with a running slideshow featuring the many and varied events that can be hosted here. All in all, Garage B was delighted to greet so many happy faces — from newcomers to old friends — and is so thankful to Meet Boston for collaborating with us to spotlight the space we love with great success.
