Garage B Gets Chromed for WIPA Boston

The Wedding Industry Professionals Association (WIPA) is a not-for-profit organization that educates, connects, and supports wedding professionals around the world in order to spark innovation and maintain industry best practices. Garage B was delighted to host WIPA’s Boston chapter for its Q4 meeting to close out the year in chrome-inspired fashion.

Visionary events producer Phoebe Allen of AE Events led the planning for this sophisticated and happy affair that completely transformed our blank-slate venue with imagination, artistry, and intention. Garage B’s large, warehouse-style interior was elevated through a brilliant collaboration of luxury rentals, custom furnishings, lavish décor, and a memorable dining experience.

FORM, a powerhouse of luxury event design and fabrication, brought in curvilinear bar setups, posh lounge areas, mirrored high-top tables, and other sleek rentals. Drape Art Design contributed to the event’s extraordinary visual story with an elegant monochromatic installation that billowed from Garage B’s steel beams at the ceiling and was woven across the length of the room. A montage of vintage wedding films projected onto one of the venue’s original distressed stone walls added a nostalgic ambience to the evening. And, of course, all guests were invited to dress to impress in chrome, metallic, and silver to fit the event’s theme!

Boston Magazine’s Best of Boston 2025 winner and Garage B preferred caterer MAX Ultimate Food showcased an inventive dining atmosphere from start to finish. Guests were welcomed with seasonal cocktails and crudités before being encouraged to order — via bell service! — cheese samplings that rolled through a series of ramps on an interactive wall. Passed hors d’oeuvres were delivered from uniquely-crafted structures consisting of poles, mobiles, and other avant-garde industrial forms. Artful small plates located on individual stands rounded out this fusion of creativity and professionalism for a one-of-a-kind progressive culinary experience.

The event also featured a thought-provoking presentation on event marketing, sales, and management in the digital vetting age by Adrienna McDermott of boutique wedding marketing agency Ava And The Bee. Afterward, attendee networking continued as WIPA accepted donations of winter clothing and accessories for “Cause of the Quarter” and returning client of Garage B, the Allston Brighton Community Development Corporation.

WIPA Boston’s end-of-year meeting celebrated the wedding industry, championed its members, and promoted invigorating relationships in unforgettable ways.
