Here’s how the Icelandic company landed its three-day award winning event at Garage B.
Brands and businesses search for venues to create one-of-a-kind events. With its open layout and industrial feel, Garage B may seem like a warehouse space, but with creativity and the right concept, companies can completely transform the space to create an immersive experience for new and existing audiences.
The best part? There is easy load in and load out for large scale productions, with staging areas and breakout spaces, to make creating setups simple at Garage B. Did you know that Iceland is a five-hour flight from our Logan Airport?
Icelandair selected our Brighton venue to host its award-winning event in October. This event’s goal was to educate and show off the cuisine, one-of-a-kind experiences, and welcoming culture. Here’s a quick look at how the event brought in 1,000s of guests over the weekend.
Over three days, Icelandair hosted a series of free events to bring the best of Iceland to our city, including highlighting travel partners and experiences to help drive tourism. The team used every inch of the venue for exhibits, presentations, live music, and giveaways.
Over the course of the multi-day celebration, attendees were able to experience the excitement of a VR snowmobile adventure, feel the heat during a real lava demonstration, walk through an immersive Blue Lagoon recreation, and taste the culture of Icelandic food and drinks.
The team was able to use a food truck to serve traditional Icelandic food including yogurts, lamb stew, fish and chips, and fresh spring water.
Did we mention entertainment? The team leaned into everything Icelandic down to all the performers — so the rock bank KALEO was brought in to perform a concert, including the hit song “Way Down We Go” along with Icelandic stand-up comedian, Ari Eldjarn.
The event made good use of the indoor and outdoor space to pack so many experiences in our blank spate venue. Interested in activating your event at Garage B? Chat with our team to bring your event to Brighton too.
